llms.txt
llms.txt is a plain-text markdown file at the root of a site that describes the site and lists its key pages for language models and agents.
Proposed in 2024, it has an H1 with the site name, a blockquote summary, and sections of links with one-line notes. It is cheap to publish and some crawlers and agents read it; the major engines have not committed to it publicly.
Treat it as a clear, machine-readable description of what you offer, kept consistent with the rest of the site, rather than as a ranking lever.
