E-E-A-T

E-E-A-T stands for experience, expertise, authoritativeness and trustworthiness, Google's framework for judging whether content deserves to be trusted.

Answer engines apply the same logic when choosing what to cite: pages with a named author, first-hand evidence ("we tested"), citations to sources, a publication date, and a site with contact and legal pages are safer to quote.

The signals are measurable on the page, which is why AI readiness audits score them: bylines, dates, outbound citations, first-person evidence, privacy and contact information.
