AI readiness (of a page)

AI readiness is how well a page exposes the signals answer engines use to decide what to cite: structure, authority, direct content, crawl-time trust and expertise markers.

It is scored on the page's HTML: heading hierarchy, structured data, lists and tables, bylines and dates, outbound citations, readability, HTTPS and canonical tags, robots.txt access for AI bots, and contact and legal signals.

A page can rank well in Google and still score low, because ranking leans on links and history while citation leans on quotability. Readiness is necessary for a citation, not sufficient.
